The Undertaker recently discussed how he had always wanted to have a WrestleMania match against a noted WWE Hall of Famer. The Phenom disclosed that he wanted to take on Stone Cold Steve Austin at The Show of Shows.

It is no secret that The Phenom has arguably the greatest WrestleMania record in wrestling history, as he won 25 matches and lost just twice, out of which the first 21 wins were on a trot. Despite taking on many legends of the business at The Grandest Stage of Them All, there were a few names that The Deadman never faced at the mega event.

One among them was six-time WWE Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin, whom he had faced several times but unfortunately never at a stage like WrestleMania. On a recent Q&A session on his Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway podcast, The Undertaker expressed his disappointment at never getting the chance to take on The Texas Rattlesnake at WrestleMania.

The WWE Hall of Famer even mentioned how if he had faced Stone Cold at The Show of Shows, his streak would have ended long back.

"It'd have to be Stone Cold. That's really one of the only guys I didn't get to work with at Mania. That would have been huge. The streak may have gotten broken earlier, but still, it would have been nice to work with Steve at Mania," The Undertaker said. [H/T Fightful]

Whether The Phenom makes more appearances in the Stamford-based promotion remains to be seen.

The Undertaker on Stone Cold Steve Austin possibly breaking his WrestleMania streak

Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 30 remains one of the most contentious booking decisions in WWE history.

The Deadman explained that if Stone Cold Steve Austin had ended his WrestleMania streak instead of Lesnar, it would have garnered a similarly mixed response, with some in favor of the decision while others would have been critical.

"Steve was over at a level... That was just a whole another level that he was over at. It would probably be, just like anything else, half the people would love it, half the people would hate it. That's how it is. Everybody has an opinion but that's the guy that I would have liked to work with at Mania that I never got a chance to," The Undertaker said.

Considering both performers have hung up their boots, it is safe to say that a WrestleMania match between them would remain a dream for fans.
